In line with new emphases in measurement, SIGRIST is presenting a
two-part program with environmental instrumentation with respect to water
quality and dust concentration as well as process measurement technology for
industrial facilities with turbidity and color measurement.
The most important parameters for monitoring the quality of
drinking water and surface water are turbidity, the spectral absorption
coefficient, and oil content. SIGRIST is presenting its current
low-maintenance solutions for reliably measuring these parameters. And for
the first time, SIGRIST unveils the OPM32 particle counter. This instrument
enhances turbidity measurement for, above all, ultra-low turbidities (e.g.
after membrane filters). This portable measuring instrument is intended for
use in the laboratory as well as for on-line monitoring. Up to 32 size
categories between 1 µm and 150 µm are specified in the particle count.
Sampling can be done directly from pressure lines or from sampling bottles.
Available accessories include evaluation software and an accumulator battery
for mobile operation.
The new VisGuard dust monitor is designed to measure dust concentration
in production areas, warehouses and loading bays as well as the visibility
in road tunnels. The two variants in-situ and extractive make it possible
to measure locally or by means of extractive sampling over several hundred
meters. An integrated purge air concept effectively prevents soiling of the
measuring optics even in situations where there is a high concentration of
dust. The measurement scope ranges from very low µg/m3 to over
100 mg/m3.
In the processing area, the DualScat in-line turbidity measuring
instrument has been successfully employed in the food industry for three
years and is now available as an Ex-protected version with a variety of
options for use in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical
industries. Innovations include an extended temperature and pressure range,
various sealing materials, and an optional sapphire window. With a measuring
scope of 0 to 2000 NTU, this universal instrument can be used in a variety
of applications, from measuring ultra-low turbidities in filtration checks
up to solid matter content in the g/l range. The dual-angle method
enables subtly differentiated statements about particle properties, thus
providing you with additional information for optimizing processes.
